The Bernon Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA in Franklin is seeking enthusiastic Youth Cooking Instructors to lead cooking classes.
Essential Functions:
- Implements recipes from the Nutrition Director, which including hands-on cooking instruction and nutrition education
- Facilitates classroom discussion around nutrition, scratch cooking, and the health benefits of fruits, vegetables, and whole foods
- Manages and ensures the safety of all students
- Maintains classroom equipment and procures the food needed for lessons
- Communicates with the Nutrition Director about program progress and needs
- Interest in cooking and basic kitchen skills
- Organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Energetic, with great capacity to prioritize and juggle multiple projects efficiently
- Extremely reliable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
