We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. A key focus for this role is expertise in designing and working with Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room and clean room facilities in the life science sector.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types, with a focus on projects involving Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room facilities.
Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural solutions into the overall project design.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings and provide input on design, construction methods, and material selection.
Core Competencies :
Proficient in structural analysis, design, and detailing for a variety of building types, including experience with Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room facilities.
Advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD for the development of detailed construction drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in design work.

Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
P.E. designation is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with energy-efficient design principles, particularly in the context of cold storage and refrigeration facilities.
Familiarity with building codes and standards specific to cold room construction and Insulated Metal Panels.
Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
Familiarity with advanced modeling software or other structural analysis tools like SAP 2000, ETABS or other similar software.
