About the Position:
The Sr. Property Accountant is responsible for the daily accounting functions for managed real estate assets. The position will oversee period-end closings and ancillary accounting related functions for the property management department.
The qualified applicant shall demonstrate the following:
Responsibilities:
· Review all financial reports for managed assets
· Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements as required
· Interact with property management team as necessary
· Work with Controller to supervise property management accounting team
· Record and reconcile financial information
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for identified accounts
· Prepare tenant billing charges
· Enter cash receipts
· Review and assess tenant monthly recurring charges.
· Enter recurring billing adjustments.
· Set up new properties, owners, tenants and vendors.
· Assist with upload, review and posting payable batches to deliver to owner semi-weekly
· Provide property management team with support for tenant, budget and CAM reconciliations
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Good attitude a must and will demonstrate the following characteristics: hard-working, integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, respectfulness, and a team player;
· Minimum 5 to 10 years accounting experience with an emphasis in property management/real estate;
· Detail oriented with the ability to establish and meet deadlines;
· Accountability to our team;
- Must be highly organized with good decision-making skills
- Yardi Voyager experience or equivalent required (payscan and tenant/commercial café a plus)
- Kardin experience a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
