JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating excavators, particularly with the use of hydraulic rock hammers and laser systems for shooting grade. This role demands a high level of skill, precision, and commitment to safety, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to exact specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate excavators equipped with hydraulic rock hammer attachments to break rock and concrete for excavation, trenching, and other construction tasks.
- Utilize laser systems for shooting grades and ensuring precise excavation and grading in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery and tools to ensure proper functionality and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Dig trenches, holes, and foundations to precise depths, slopes, and alignments as dictated by construction plans.
- Follow all site safety guidelines and practices to ensure the safety of yourself, fellow workers, and the public.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure it remains in top working condition.
- Assist with other site duties as needed, including general labor, material handling, and setup tasks.
