Your Mission

As an CNC Saw Operator you will ensure precision and efficiency in the cutting process, transforming raw materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastic into accurately sized components. This role is pivotal in supporting the manufacturing process by maintaining high standards of quality and contributing to the timely production of final parts.

How you will make a difference

• Attention to Detail: By meticulously reading work orders and ensuring all dimensions are accurately determined, you'll help maintain high-quality standards and reduce errors in the cutting process.
• Efficiency and Precision: Your ability to load material onto the machine table securely and enter product information accurately into the CNC control panel will contribute to smooth and efficient operations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: By observing machine operations and detecting malfunctions such as thickness and flatness issues, you'll be able to make necessary adjustments promptly, ensuring consistent product quality.
• Technical Proficiency: Your skill in starting the machine, verifying the size of cut pieces, and readjusting the machine as needed will ensure that all pieces meet the specified dimensions.
• Safety and Maintenance: By replacing worn cutting blades and documenting the Heat Treat information accurately, you'll help maintain the machine's performance and ensure safety in the workplace.
• Team Support: Your ability to set the counting device to control the number of pieces to cut and document information accurately will support overall team productivity and keep the production process on track.

What you should be good at

Experience and Technical Skills:

• High school diploma or GED, one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating an Overhead Gantry Crane is a plus.

Language Skills:

• Be fluent in English.

Mathematical Skills:

• Understand basic arithmetic, like adding and subtracting decimals. You should be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately.
• You also need to be proficient in both English and Metric units, including conversions between them.

• Basic computer skills
