Salary Range : $49,000-$62,000 annually, depending on experience.

Principle Responsibilities :

Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment powered by gas, electric, or pneumatic power sources.

Suspension Systems

Tires
Undercarriages
Electrical systems
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on small engines and outdoor power equipment.
Test equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Communicate with supervisor and or operator for clarification of defects and discuss preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs.
Assist with inventory management by maintaining an organized workspace, and tracking the use and location of tools, parts, and supplies.
Support the upkeep and maintenance of workspace, shop, and facilities.
Complete paperwork associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage, and completing work orders associated with repair time billing.
Assist with equipment and tool delivery when required.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, Responsibilities :

Education :

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Mechanical Trade School certificate or degree preferred

Experience :

Minimum of one (1) of year of professional experience in small engine repair

Position Related Skills

Current certification or the ability to become forklift-certified

Training and certification available

Current certification or the ability to become Aerial Lift certified;

Training and certification available

Current rigging signaling certification, or the ability to become certified

Training and certification available

Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Must have a current DOT medical card or have the ability to get one.

Basic computer skills as demonstrated by knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 is preferred

Essential Functions :

Standing / Walking / Sitting : Workday is a combination of being stationary and moving about the work location. Up to 75% of the work day is spent outdoors negotiating construction sites.

Must be able to climb ladders / stairs : Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces

Hands / Arms : Constantly uses machinery and other tools to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials

Sight : Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to; visually inspect work, look for small defects, small parts, and / or operate machines (including inspection); use measurement devices; and / or assemble or fabricate parts. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.

Hearing : sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and radio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment

Speech : sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio

Lift / Carry : Must have the ability to lift or manipulate 25 pounds and carry or push it 50-100 Feet

Bending / Twisting : Regularly

Kneeling / Crouching / Crawling : Regularly

Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required

Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments

Must be able to plan and organize work
