Operations Assistant Technical Manager : Minimum qualification current or previous role as an SME in 1 discipline or expert understanding of Sr. Technical Lead responsibilities. Role is on the CT operations management path and H&H corporate job profiles manager ladder.

Supports the Technical Manager in overseeing and coordinating technical operations within the organization. Role includes managing resources, supporting project delivery, efficiency and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Promotes and participates in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve technical and organizational objectives effectively.

The role includes but is not limited to leading, organizing, growing, training and facilitating the technical staff to meet CT objectives. Is an expert in all technician level roles and responsibilities and provides support in site issues resolution technical and logistic. Fulfills the role of training coordinator and mentor for technical staff. Facilitates training of the technical staff, organizes and manages the technical training for staff career objectives. Has an expert understanding of site construction, sub-contractor, the “how to” of site process and site logistics.

  • Understands each of the assigned projects technical needs and works with staff to align appropriate staff
  • Role is job chargeable which requires an active role in the field from a training, mentoring and support perspective for an efficiency lift in project activities.
  • Has working knowledge and understanding of Smartsheet for scheduling, reporting and assembly of metrics
  • Provides oversight of a technical nature to projects
  • Has ownership of technical training, monitoring and tracking.
  • Responsible for training facilities for in-house programs and curriculum.
  • Responsible for developing and facilitating development of internal training curriculum.
  • Responsible for developing and directing the process development for site work MOPs with technicians (documentation)
  • Responsible for enhancing and maintaining the CTwiki refresher library.
  • Supports the career path direction of staff and performs the “instructor” role in explanation of course of study and questions in relation assigned curriculum.
  • Seen as the go to guy for tech staff, providing direction and mentoring on technical, construction and process areas of project implementation.
  • Evaluation of technical staff progress provides input for evaluation formal and informal.
  • Evaluates current technologies, tools and test equipment available for controls systems technicians with emphasis of improved efficiency and productivity.
  • Responsible for site efficiency including metrics and recommendation for increasing efficiency.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for increased efficiency.
  • Responsible for technical Smartsheet monitoring and compliance.
  • Co responsible for initial development of site documentation with the final QC as direct responsibility before implementation for use.
  • Co Responsible managing the process of site documentation and redline readiness.
  • Will carry multiple site responsibility simultaneously, in addition to overall organizational responsibilities.
  • Assists in solving problems of complex nature relating to systems and projects. Performs the role of leader / director in the format of a tech line support person, facilitating not doing.
  • Is an active participant in the day to day of the technical staff when on site, is viewed as the support person in the field to help with issues and efficiency
  • Provides site supervision of internal and external staff.
  • Act as a liaison between the technical manager, PM team and the technical team to ensure clear communication
  • Conduct quality control and ensure that all technical deliverables meet organizational standards.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical operations.
  • Support the technical manager and PM team in communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Address technical queries and provide clear, concise explanations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and oversee the implementation of safety protocols.
  • 75% travel is expected based on the level of project technical support required. 25% in office time for collaboration with operations, process management and engineering.
