Hoffmaster is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Intern to join our team. This role provides hands-on experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment. The intern will support daily inventory operations, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support process improvement initiatives related to material usage and issuing at machine work centers.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Work with the supply chain and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports.
- Identify and report obsolete, slow-moving, or excess inventory.
- Support process improvement initiatives to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices in inventory management.
- Assist in documenting inventory procedures and updating SOPs as needed.
