What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sparks - Maintenance - Maintenance Tech Level 3 position at Hoffmaster Group Inc.?
GENERAL SUMMARY : The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring Hoffmaster's equipment and facility are well maintained and that any issues are addressed quickly and accurately.
This position is vital to the smooth operations of our production floor and helps to ensure the overall facility is well maintained. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on plant machinery
- Provide support to machine operators with mechanical issues and ensure machines are back up and running as soon as possible
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery
- Perform routine maintenance on plant facility including general cleaning and building systems maintenance
- Learn and develop a strong working knowledge of all plant operations
- Utilize technology wherever possible to create or enhance operational efficiencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably paper converting and / or printing machinery
- Knowledge of general facility maintenance practices; certifications in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill in problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making
- Skill in building and maintaining internal and external relationships
- Ability to flexible, self-directed, and motivated to improve processes
- Ability to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changes
- Ability to prioritize rapidly while utilizing problem solving skills
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitude Education, Experience, and Certification :
- 3 years' experience in maintenance management; paper converting or printing industry preferred
- High school diploma : further education in related field (Management, Facility Management, Maintenance Management) preferred
