Quality Auditor (2nd shift)

Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

Pay: $20.50/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 PM to 1:30 AM

Primary Purpose of the Role: As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing incoming products, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished products. You’ll ensure quality and food safety on the production floor during your shift. This role involves internal auditing, customer inspections, investigating complaints, and supporting corrective/preventive actions.

Essential Functions

• Conduct internal quality audits, inspecting finished products, production paperwork, GMPs, and raw materials.
• Communicate findings to production teams and oversee corrective actions.
• Inspect incoming materials based on specifications.
• Perform inspection tests using lab instruments.
• Evaluate and properly dispose of non-conforming materials.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and sample pulls.
• Understand and meet varying customer quality expectations.
• Assist in decisions on product conformity.
• Perform analytical testing as required.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and internal nonconformances.
• Prepare for facility audits and product inspections.
• Help update facility-related work instructions and procedures.
• Provide quality and food safety training.
• Follow GMP guidelines and report food safety issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read and follow instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify quality issues in products and packaging
