What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hofheimer Host/Hostess position at Hofheimer Building?
We are hiring energetic and hard-working hosts for the Hofheimer business, including the Hofheimer Rooftop, Harry's Library, the Hofheimer Event Venue space, and Harry's restaurant. This position will be expected to provide a high quality, memorable experience to the guests of the Hofheimer Building. This position reports to the Hofheimer Building Venue Manager and Director of Operations.
ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be highly skilled and experienced with the following roles and responsibilities. This includes, but not limited to:
- Welcoming: Provide a positive, warm, and friendly welcome to the restaurant while setting appropriate expectations of wait time and capacity limitations.
- Hospitality: Seating of guests and managing the seating chart, as well as ensuring their expectations are met.
- Capacity Management: Monitoring of bar/restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow throughout shift.
- Guest Services: Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Team Support: Performs opening and closing duties, as needed. Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
- Operations: Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Exiting: Ensure that guests had an enjoyable experience. Ability to coordinate with management with problem solving as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- Guest Experience: Ability to engage with guests in a positive, fun, and high-quality manner to provide the ultimate guest experience.
- Work Experience: Must have previous restaurant/bar experience.
- Team Collaboration and Flexibility: Ability to work collaboratively and in a flexible manner with other positions and areas of business, including the kitchen, event venue staff, etc.
- Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned by supervisor and managers.
COMPENSATION
This position will be compensated an hourly wage of $15-18 per hour.
