Description
Hofstra’s Department of Geology, Environment, and Sustainability is seeking a candidate with experience in the field of Sustainability to teach an undergraduate course focused on exploring the relationships between humans, animals, and the environment, while highlighting the integral role animals play for a sustainable world.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and teach an introductory level undergraduate course focused on exploring the relationships between humans, animals, and the environment, while highlighting the integral role animals play for a sustainable world.
Qualifications
PhD degree in some aspect of Sustainability is required.
Experience teaching at the undergraduate university level.
Preferred Quals Summary
Experience teaching about human / animal interactions, particularly in reference to the humane treatment of animals preferred.

Salary/Salary Range
$1,422-$1,794 per credit

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.
