Position Title Special Assistant or Associate Professor Position in Information Systems and Business Analytics Position Number 896370 Position Category School / Division School of Business Department Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (IS / BAN) at Hofstra University invites applications for a full-time Special Professor position (Assistant / Associate) in the field of information systems for the 2025-2026 academic year (9 / 1 / 2025 – 8 / 31 / 2026). Applicants will be considered at all ranks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Teach courses related to information systems including IS fundamentals, business applications (i.e., Java, Python, XHTML, or else), computer networking, and information security management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrate evidence or potential of performing high-impact scholarly activities in the IS field by publishing in the peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by department and school, such as engagement with students.
