JOB SUMMARY:
Hog Slat, Inc. and Georgia Poultry is the largest turn-key construction contractor building poultry and swine farms in six regions across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Installation Supervisor to join an industry-leading team to supervise the new construction, retrofitting, and remodeling of animal confinement barns in East Texas. This position will predominantly be working on Poultry projects but may require diversifying as business conditions change. Ideal candidates would live near Nacogdoches, TX and be willing to travel. Overnight and extended stays will be required on a per project basis; with extensive travel expected. As business conditions change, travel outside of this region may be required.

- Understand Site Specific Bio-Security Requirements and ensure that all project stakeholders adhere to these requirements
- Maintain Jobsite Safety Requirements and Ensure all Parties Onsite Follow the Hog Slat Safety Program
- Onsite Field Supervision of Sub-Contractors and Equipment Installers Assigned to Projects
- Source experienced and professional contractors and sub-contractors for equipment installation
- Formulate a job schedule and work with building crews, suppliers, and sub-contractors to stay ahead of the schedule
- Manage Inventory Control of Jobsite Material: Schedule Material Deliveries, Receive Material, Count for Accuracy, Strategically Stage Onsite for sub-contractors; Notify of any discrepancies
- Maintain Sub-Contractor Contracts, Pay Schedule Draws, and insurance to ensure Subs are properly insured in accordance with Hog Slat Requirements and paid accurately and timely
- Monitor and Maintain High Quality of Work – strive for the Hog Slat/Georgia Poultry Team to be best in the industry
- Maintain a High Level of Communication with all parties involved in each project
- Manage Essential Job Paperwork to ensure proper completion and storage including, but not limited to: Daily Reports, Material Inventory Sign-off, Punch Lists, Safety Checklists, Completion Checklists, Product Returns, Provide Equipment Installation guides and layouts to install crews and any training certifications etc.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support as project-related problems arise, communicate with job stakeholders and quickly mediate and follow-up until issues are resolved to ensure animal safety and livability is priority
- Establish and ensure Customer Satisfaction of schedule and quality
- Periodically meet with the sales staff to review current and upcoming jobs status and provide current project updates
- Provide Labor Estimates to sales for customer quotes and Negotiate Labor Rates with Sub-Contractors
- Promote & Train Construction Equipment Installers and Service Personnel with gained knowledge and skills growth through in-field training and education about equipment and controllers
- Ensure all equipment is installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations/installation guides and commission the equipment/barns for proper operation before turnover to customer.
- Create and manage work completion and punch lists
- Test equipment and controllers, train customers on the operation and maintenance of their barn equipment, required service, and provide support resources
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Experience with Broiler, Breeder, and Pullet Barn Facilities
- Poultry Equipment Installation and Technical Support Experience
- Excellent knowledge of all phases of commercial construction
- Experience in construction scheduling, field supervision, and quality control of construction projects
- Ability to organize and inspire Site Supervisors and Sub-Contractors to exceptional performance to meet goals and objectives
- Knowledge of the modern Poultry industry is preferred
- Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record for liability and insurance purposes
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Flexibility within a changing environment and Positive Attitude
- Self-Starter that takes responsibility to complete tasks without constant supervision
