Hogan Construction Group is a fast paced, family owned, mid-sized Commercial General Contractor working in the Southeastern United States. We are seeking Experienced Estimators / Preconstruction Managers to join our team in our Atlanta Office. Candidates should be detail oriented, self-starters who enjoy the challenges of interesting and diverse projects.Requirements : Minimum of a four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent combinations of technical training and / or related experience.10 years of Previous Commercial Construction Estimating and / or Field Experience in the K-12, Higher Ed, Municipal, Religious Institution, Medical, and / or Office Building required.In depth knowledge of CM / GC, Construction Manager at Risk, Design / Build, and Hard Bid delivery methods.Extensive experience with Conceptual Estimating and Preconstruction Services.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience managing Junior Estimators.Proficient using On Screen Take Off and Earthworks or similar programs for quantity take off.Experience using Project Scheduling Software.Experience using Procore for Preconstruction Services preferred.Ability to read and interpret Construction Drawings and Specifications.Ability to multitask and prioritize duties under pressure.Ability to work as a part of a Team while maintaining flexibility, a high level of detail, and a positive attitude.Duties : Assist the VP of Preconstruction Services as the Primary Point of Contact and Lead Person for the Preconstruction effort on all types of projects and via all types of construction delivery methods.Manage multiple projects in varying states of design simultaneously and multiple Junior Estimators.Participate in Presentations and Project Interviews as an expert in Preconstruction Services.Provide analysis of construction documents and effective alternatives for cost reductions.Provide complete quantity take-offs, analysis, and material pricing for various construction scopes as assigned.Assist in preparing a detailed estimate for the entire scope for assigned trades, building systems, and overall project costs.Solicitation of Subcontractors and Vendors for market pricing and biding of scopes of work.Assist in the development of detailed scopes of work and bid packages.Review and evaluate Subcontractor and Vendor proposals to ensure complete a scope of work is covered and minimize the risk of scope gaps or double coverage.Serve as the Preconstruction Services point-of-contact with Subcontractors, Vendors, Owners, and Architects.Complete preliminary scheduling of project construction.Hogan Construction Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a competitive compensation package to employees including : Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort- and Long-Term Disability Plans401K Retirement PlanVacation / Personal DaysPaid HolidaysOngoing Training and Educational Opportunities
