Responsibilities:
- Perform Civil drafting tasks with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Prepare permit drawings for grading & drainage designs, including driveways, building pads, and erosion & sediment control plans, and Septic design
- Conduct complex hydrology calculations and hydraulic evaluations for drainage features
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare Civil Design Drawings
- Discuss potential new projects with prospective clients and assist with preparing professional service agreements for Civil Engineering services
- Coordinate with project design team members, including colleagues, clients, architects, contractors, owners, and designers
- Perform on-site evaluations, construction observations, inspections, and project site reviews related to Civil Engineering projects
- Address client, consultant, and contractor inquiries
- Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other parties involved in the design process
- Conduct site visits to observe field conditions and ensure conformance with approved plans
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Outlook, and Engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BlueBeam, etc.).
- Strong application of Engineering principles, critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and complete duties independently
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
Education and Experience:
- B.S. or higher in Civil Engineering discipline
- 2 years of experience and an E.I.T. Certificate- preferred
