Experience & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience preparing and rolling sushi.
- Must have open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be positive, collaborative, and committed to healthy communication and quality work.
- Will need a valid Food Handler Certification for this role.
- Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met.
- Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service.
- Answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership.
- Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met.
- Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, vendors, and guests.
