We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Knife Finisher, whose primary task will be working as a Laser Engraving Technician. A Laser Engraving Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser engraving equipment to produce high-quality, precision-engraved products. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality control, as well as a creative eye for custom work.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor laser engraving machines
- Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, and design files to complete engraving tasks
- Prepare materials and products for engraving, ensuring correct placement and alignment
- Adjust machine settings based on material type, thickness, and engraving specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure engraving meets quality and design standards
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on laser engraving equipment
- Basic data entry into a computer to report on work progress
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with laser engraving equipment is preferred but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with design software (CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or similar) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on precision tasks
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working with machinery and in a production environment
Eligibility Requirements
- Pass pre-employment medical physical and drug screening.
- Clear a Federal Criminal Background Check (ATF permit requirement).
- Provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
