What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Planner position at Hogue, Inc.?
A Manufacturing Planner is responsible for ensuring the production team meets scheduled goals. These scheduled goals are determined by a Master Schedule created by the Production Planners. The Manufacturing Planner position is also responsible for entry level production plans. This position required strong communication with the Planning Department as well as the Manufacturing Team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintaining work order schedules for production based on the Master Schedule
- Entry level production plans
- Learning, and understanding production processes
- Entry level data analysis of resources utilized for production
- Monitor products from raw material to finished goods
- Work closely with the manufacturing and planning team while exercise strong communication
- Assist with providing analytical support for projects as needed
- Entry level analysis of sales and trends in order to assist planning and coordinating
Skills/Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in cross-functional and peer group settings
- MS Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Experience and familiarity with ERP, MRP and Planning systems
- Collaboration abilities with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Management
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
