Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Handyman/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for both residential and commercial properties under home warranty agreements and commercial service contracts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of repair and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Drywall repair and finishing
- Plumbing work, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets or toilets
- Electrical repairs, including switches, outlets, and light fixture replacements
- Minor carpentry, such as repairing doors, frames, and fascia
- Window and door installations
- Painting and surface preparation
- Diagnosing and repairing roofing and structural issues
- Travel to residential and commercial locations to complete assigned service requests, with a typical workload of 4-6 jobs per day.
- Assess and diagnose issues on-site, providing repair solutions within the scope of authorized limits.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding job details, approvals, and necessary follow-up work.
- Maintain detailed records of tasks performed and parts used during repairs.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are organized and properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in home repair, handyman services, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to job sites up to 50 miles away.
- Basic tools required to perform most tasks; company-provided specialized tools as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with home warranty repairs or commercial service contracts.
- Certifications in plumbing, electrical work, or other skilled trades.
- Familiarity with submitting estimates and seeking approval for repairs.

- Competitive hourly wage plus mileage reimbursement.
