Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced manager, holding a full-time position as an Area Service Manager in the Omaha, Nebraska area. This role will have flexibility to work remotely and travel to locations where representatives have accounts. The ASM will lead a team of 4-7 Service Engineers/Water Quality Engineers and a Pretreatment Technician responsible for providing excellent service to commercial and industrial customers.

Main responsibilities of the position include:
Leadership, Management, & Accountability (LMA):
- Sole focus on leading the team, managing operations, and ensuring accountability.
- Manage team members by holding them accountable for their responsibilities, providing consistent performance feedback, coaching, and goal setting. Ensure continuous improvement and growth opportunities for direct reports.
- Lead the designated service team through weekly meetings to communicate up and down the chain (Cascading Messages, Headlines), capture issues to Identify, Discuss, Solve (IDS) or escalate, build team morale and unity (Bests), and promote accountability (Scorecard, To-Do’s, Rocks).
- Perform quarterly conversations, annual compensation reviews, and annual performance reviews. Maintain up-to-date job/seat descriptions and address performance issues with coaching and corrective actions.
- Drive engagement initiatives in the service team with support from the HR department.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans alongside leadership team members to achieve organizational goals.
- Manages resource allocation, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to optimize service delivery.
Annual Service Plans:
- Ensure designated service team adheres to the HOH Service Core Process which is the essential steps and standards for delivering consistent, high-quality service to customers, ensuring efficiency and accountability within the service team.
- Review quality and ensure timely delivery of service reports. Submit weekly service measurables to the Field Service Director.
- Oversee the service region's Profit/Loss statement and implement strategies to maintain profitability, focusing on retaining existing facilities and tracking new and lost facilities.
- Coordinate with the Business Development Manager to create service plans at the appropriate step in the HOH Sales Process and manage resources to execute sales to service transitions for onboarding new and existing customers.
- Facilitate regular business reviews of accounts in the service region.
Customer Audits:
- Visit customer facilities regularly with the designated Water Quality Engineer or Service Engineer and produce formal Level 5 Audit Reports.
- Visit prospective customer facilities with the Business Development Manager and generate formal Level 5 Audit Reports for the Sales Process and Service Plan development.
Technical & Sales Support:
- Facilitate the delivery of technical and testing services to existing accounts by supporting the Water Quality Engineer, leveraging Product Managers, and providing firsthand technical and training services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and senior management.
- Provide the team with necessary tools and training to perform their jobs effectively. Share industry knowledge within HOH to support innovation initiatives.
- Seek out and deliver solutions to water treatment problems.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Experience with engineering, chemistry, water treatment or related areas.
- Minimum 3-5 years of current/prior working experience in water treatment or related field is required.
- Relevant managerial experience is required
- College degree in a science related field is required
- CWT Certification is preferred
- Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, be trustworthy and be self-motivated.
- Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Drug Screening
- Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must currently be at least 18 years old
