SUMMARY OF JOB
In this role you are part of the operations support team comprised of Billing, Customer Service and Process Planning. While each has a focus, duties overlap, and team members support one another. A highly successful candidate will seamlessly perform duties in each role.
In planning you will review customer documentation in the form of purchase orders, blueprints, and specifications. Customer requirements identified will be used in creating a shop order and process plan for customer hardware.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with customers, sales representatives, engineers, and production supervisors as needed to establish processing requirements of customer parts.
- Create a shop order and process plan for customer hardware by thoroughly reviewing customer documentation (contract review) and entering data into Hohman's computer system using a software template.
- Ensure shop orders are created accurately and in a timely fashion - current target is same day as received.
- Ensure due dates are entered into Hohman's system in accordance with customer requests and Hohman's' delivery windows.
- Initiate and expedite requests and confirm delivery promises as required.
- Initiate price reviews if POs are received with incorrect pricing.
- Initiate engineering and quality reviews for plans as required.
- Assist in scanning of documents for required record retention.
- Drive resolution to outstanding processing, compliance, or billing concerns by working closely with customers and Hohman personnel.
- Cross train with customer service and billing.
- Other related functions and tasks as assigned.
