Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, mechanical knowledge, and a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
• Assist with order picking and building pallets for shipping.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to the operation of forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory management systems.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
