What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hola Arepa Line Cook position at Hola Arepa?
LINE COOK
The main role of the Line Cook is to be responsible and accountable for all Line Cook operations with approval from the CDC, Sous Chefs and General Manager. You will work with the other Line Cooks to ensure all dishes are properly cooked, plated and served to the guest. Positions are always evolving so you may be asked to do things above and beyond what is listed below.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Follow, respect, and uphold all company rules, policies, and procedures
- Coach, teach and train all current and new employees on all policies, procedures properly and in a positive and respectful manner
- Hold all employees accountable
- Make sure any issues are communicated promptly to the MOD
- Line Cooks are expected to work 18 to 25 hours per week
- Line Cooks are expected to complete their tasks daily
- Make sure all food items are labeled, dated, and stored properly
- Make sure all dishes are cooked, plated, and served correctly
- Uphold all Health Department rules of sanitation, storage, and food safety
- Work as a team with the Kitchen team
- Complete projects delegated to you by CDC and Sous Chefs by deadlines given to you
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, able to handle high-volume service while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Required to work Saturday and Sunday mornings, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- A genuine passion for Latin cuisine and delivering excellent food to our guests.
