Job Description:
Do you enjoy working independently? Are you a motivated salesperson? As the Farmers market Manager, you will be responsible for the sales and outreach at one of our market stands. Duties include arriving early to the site for booth set up, handing out free samples, interacting and selling to potential customers, and achieving sales objectives.
Objectives:
- Attend pre-event meetings and pick up all equipment needed
- Drive to farmers markets and assist with set up/tear down of vendor booth
- Mingle with customers and hand out samples
- Communicate sales pitch effectively and collect payment
- Maintain relationships with market organizers and find potential market leads
- Report to the Assistant Marketing Coordinator about day-to-day operations

- Frequency: Weekly for the duration of the event season, Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm
- Pay: $75 event base plus 5% commission on all products sold on each market (avg $16/hr)
- Timeline: Contracts vary, average 5 months

Required Qualifications:
- Must have a driver’s license, and a reliable car to drive to farmers' market
- 1 year of sales experience
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to lift to 50lbs
- Ability to think critically and solve problems independently
- Instinctive ability to lead others
