What You'll Be Doing
- Follows approved policies and procedures including safety protocols, quality standards, and site policies.
- Ensure all stock is pulled correctly by 10am daily or as directed by supervisor / S&R coordinator.
- Unload incoming containers and trucks and make a record for the receiving information for the receiving log. Physically verify and sign off that materials received match the paperwork.
- Ensure truck loads have boards, bags, and pictures before leaving the facility and document with pictures.
- Help maintain on time delivery is being met.
- Take breaks and lunches as scheduled by supervisor / S&R coordinator at a time that ensures the warehouse runs smoothly.
- Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the warehouses is maintained.
- Ensure check-ins are completed and second counted as well as print and layout verification.
- Ensure raw materials including rolls, cores, and any other requested items are pulled for production
- Perform other job-related projects, duties, and assignments as directed by supervisor / S&R coordinator.
- Safe practices are followed in the warehouse including management of pyramids of raw materials, fork lift operation, etc
- Accurate shipment of orders (correct materials, quantities, etc are shipped on the correct trucks) through the implementation of verification checks.
- On time delivery – all orders are shipped as soon as the material is ready (and nothing waits because “it’s not due yet.”) unless otherwise instructed (month end).
- Warehouse organization and cleanliness (everything in a dedicated spot, free of debris, dust levels maintained low) – includes Shawland and Broadway
- Time management – assignment of tasks to ensure production, receiving, shipping, are not waiting on warehouse personnel.
- Box Truck Condition – Kept clean and in good working order (any issues are reported).
- Effective communication skills including verbal communication person to person and in a group setting, report writing, and email correspondence.
- Ability to interpret rewind schedule and sales and backlog to maintain on time deliver.
