The Laborer position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the cleaning and plant maintenance at the Dallas and Roanoke Ready Mix Plants.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: 1- 2 years general related to duties and responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Laborer position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the cleaning and plant maintenance at the Dallas and Roanoke Ready Mix Plants.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Clean up and housekeeping duties as assigned for the plant beautification special projects at each plant.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Practice and promote safety by including, but not limited to, assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, and utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Perform inspections & checklists on work areas
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: 1- 2 years general related to duties and responsibilities
Additional Requirements:
- Laborers will be required to work outside, at heights, in warm temperatures, in dusty environments, and in confined spaces.
- Position may include changing schedules or rotating shifts as necessary.
- Ideal candidates would have a high mechanical aptitude,
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and excellent mechanical knowledge, ability to weld, and experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- General Laboring (carrying, lifting parts and tools, cleaning)
- Experience using hand tools (Drills, pneumatic powered tools, hammers, wrenches, etc.)
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
