Position Overview : The Senior Account Manager works daily with the Account Executive to provide the day-to-day insurance needs for the clients. Eligible candidates must be able to work independently as needed, execute detailed data entry into the Applied Epic agency management system, and must be proficient with Excel, Word and Applied Epic or similar platform. Attention to detail and working quickly with accuracy are a must. Additionally, a sense of urgency and an ability to complete multiple tasks “on time” with interruptions are necessary. Finally, candidates must be able to effectively communicate telephonically or in writing with Clients and Carriers. Candidates must have experience working on accounts with $100,000 premium and above.
Specific Accountabilities :
a. Daily Account Servicing, including requesting, reviewing and processing of policy endorsements; handle routine client questions and policy changes; light rating; checking policies; invoicing policies and endorsements (including premium allocations and installments) and assisting in resolving accounting and billing issues
b. Ability to review insured contracts to verify coverage gaps
c. Prepare and issue Binders, Invoices, Certificates, Claim Kits and Auto ID cards to client
d. Review and understand carrier Audits to field client questions related to audit results
e. Prepare new and renewal proposals timely for final review by AE and Producer and maintain marketing folders
f. Enter new and renewal quotes into proposals and review for discrepancies
g. Effectively communicating with underwriters regarding quotes and policy changes
h. On-board new clients – enter client data, draft applications and proposal presentations
i. Issue, and respond to requests for certificates and evidence of insurance and be able to review insurance policies to meet client’s insurance requirements
j. Professionally answer client inquiries and offer solutions by providing clients with sound advice when needed
k. Participate in CE classes working towards a commercial insurance designation
Minimum Qualifications :
College Degree is preferred
Industry specific experience – At least 5 years in a similar role
Experience with Applied Epic insurance management system or similar
Experience handling accounts $100,000 premium and above
Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance policy contract
Professional designation of CISR or comparable is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft products – Outlook, Excel and Word
Candidates may be tested for basic skills, basic insurance knowledge, and Excel and Word
Acceptable credit and background verification required
