Description: As a Senior Accountant at Holden Farms, you'll play a pivotal role in our Accounting team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the full cycle accounting process, preparing journal entries & variance explanations, conducting account reconciliations, resolving issues, and participating in special projects. You'll also manage treasury functions such as daily cash management.

In this role, you will:

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities by ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately
• Prepare journal entries for all accounting-related activities (AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, month-end accruals, etc.)
• Reconcile the general ledger accounts following Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Work with Senior Controller to research and explain variances to forecast and budget
• Manage and report on treasury activities
• Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles
• Support with year-end audit and schedule requests from external auditors
• Support management with ad hoc projects as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Experience: 5 years
• CPA or CMA (Preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with Great Plains software a plus
• Preparation of financial statements and reports
• Power BI or similar software a plus
