What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Fellow position at Holding Space for Psychological Wellness?
Holding Space for Psychological Wellness (HSPW) is excited to be opening up 2 positions for Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows starting fall 2025. We are eager to find new team members and for us to be a formative part of your final year of training!
At HSPW we strive to provide a warm, supportive, family-like environment while also respecting professional boundaries. We work collaboratively as a team, refer within the practice, and meet monthly as a staff for consultation and team building. We are intentional about helping maintain your work-life balance while promoting connection and support in the practice.
This will be a 1-year contract with a possible option to stay on as a staff therapist and receive a pay increase upon successful attainment of licensure.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology
- Completion of pre-doctoral internship by postdoctoral start date
- Clinical excellence- sharp diagnostic skills, advanced therapeutic skills, and an eagerness for continued learning
- Can assess and treat the full range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families
- Ability to constructively use individual and group supervision time
- Excellent interpersonal skills including transparent communication
- Ongoing commitment to cultural humility and multiculturally-informed work
Responsibilities:
- Postdoctoral fellows will provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for adults.
- 2 required evenings or Saturday/Sunday & Hybrid schedule is available, but some in person sessions are expected to build and maintain caseload
- Approximately 30 clinical hours per week is expected
- Postdoctoral fellows will complete all required supervision and clinical contact hours for license application within the one-year postdoctoral fellowship period
- Postdoctoral fellowship should easily attain the required clinical contact hours with the surplus of incoming referrals we receive.
- Postdoctoral fellows may perform psychological assessments if interested
- Postdoctoral fellows receive group and individual supervision
- Postdoctoral fellows participate in didactic training and case consultation meetings
- Additional stipend opportunities include community outreach projects, leading a group, developing workshops, etc

Compensation: $55,000.00 Stipend
Job benefits:

- All billing/payment, scheduling, and administrative tasks are completed for you with ongoing support and education
- 2 Weekly individual supervision hours with 2 individual supervisors

- HSPW will cover the cost of 1 attempt for licensing exam if and when postdoc registers for exam while contracted with HSPW
