Job Summary:
We are looking for a positive, high energy and committed individual to join our coaching staff. A Head
Coach will fulfill responsibilities of the position in accordance with the MSHSL and school district
guidelines as directed by the Activities Director. The Head Coach plays an important role in instructing
student participants in the individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for
student-athletes to realize a degree of individual and team success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for various day to day leadership and alignment of the 7-12th grade Volleyball
- Responsible for organization of all practices and assisting the activities department with
- Ability to motivate athletes in an educationally based atmosphere.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in skill development, communication techniques
- Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization, administration and coaching of the
- Enforce all rules of the district and the Minnesota State High School League.
- Assist in structuring and guiding assistant coaches within the program and support them with
- Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
Head coaches are encouraged to work with student athletes in the off-season by offering weight room and
agility training, practice drills, camp or scrimmage opportunities.
