Job Description: Gardener / Nursery Professional - Full or Part Time position at Holdridge Home & Garden in Ledyard CT
Duties:
- We are looking for individuals that LOVE plants! Plant geeks and Pest & Disease nerds wanted. Our nursery will need a couple more strong people to work with customers to find plants, help them with basic care, and load plants for customers. In addition to working with customers we care for the plants, prune spent blooms, load & off load trucks, move plant material, clean the greenhouse, gardens & nursery maintenance.
- Education in the horticulture field is a plus including CT Master Gardener, CNAP - CT Nursery Association Professional and / or horticulture degree.
- A clean driving record to be able to make deliveries would great!
- Any forklift and Kubota experience is helpful.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must enjoy working outside, with plants, and well with others.
- Prior work experience in the landscape or nursery field.
- We are willing to train.
- Work 20-40hrs. Monday—Sunday 8am-6pm
Full time/Seasonal:
- Pay: $15-$20 based upon experience
License/Certification:
- Valid CT Driver’s License (required)
Work location:
- Main location to various homes and businesses in SE CT
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
