Evening Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities

• Perform all laundry duties, including:
  • Washing, drying, and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances
  • Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Replacing and hanging draperies
  • Changing beds
  • Mopping laundry room floor and washing walls regularly
  • Washing windows around the community as requested
• Ensure resident’s laundry is kept separated and is not mixed with other residents.
• Keep the laundry area maintained in a safe, clean, and good working condition.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Aid residents, family members and/or vendors with questions/concerns and direct them to the appropriate person/place in the community.
• Answer incoming calls and greet walk in traffic in a polite professional manner.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, etc.
• Proven customer service skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Self-starter, team player, not afraid to jump in and assist where needed.
• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
