What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assisted Living RN / LPN position at Holiday Health Care?
The Retirement Village of Holiday Health Care is looking for an experienced Nurse to join our team! Our Wellness Nurses provide skilled and compassionate nursing care to patients and families.
We Offer:
- Starting pay up to $24.90 for LPN, and up to $27.06 for RN
- Experienced team to work with
- Flexible schedule
Schedule:
- PRN or Part Time position, less than 20 hours weekly
- Will cover occasional Monday & Friday shifts and cover shifts when current FT employees take vacations
- Flexible hours (i.e. 8a-2p or 8a-8p or 2p-10p)
- Possibility of converting to a full-time position in the future
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Licensed as a LPN or RN in Indiana
- One year of nursing experience (Preferred)
- Must comply with the standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act
- Must be able to lift and transfer patients, carry supplies, and read normal typewritten print
- Must be able to work alone without usual support systems immediately available in acute care settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the orders of a physician and under a plan of care in a patient’s residence. Has the responsibility for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counsel, care and health teaching of the ill, injured, or confined, and the maintenance of health and prevention of illness of others
- Record the health needs of the patient
- Initiate and/or assist in the Plan of Care, revises as necessary
- Evaluate the effects of the care given and regularly reevaluates the patient’s nursing needs
- Counsel the patient and his/her family in meeting nursing and related needs
- Act as the coordinator of the health care team in order to maintain the proper linkages with a continuum of care
- Coordinate the care of all patients in his/her case load
- Oversee the wellness attendant assignment, prepare written instructions for the aide and supervise the aide in the retirement village
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, patients, families and co-workers
- Must have the ability to effectively cope with patients, families and all others with varying backgrounds, socioeconomic conditions, and value judgments
- Must possess ingenuity to handle medical and situational emergencies
- Maintain confidentiality of information relating to patient
- Comply with HIPAA Policies
