What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Technician position at Holiday Health Care?
Holiday Healthcare is a family-oriented, privately owned company located on the North Side of Evansville. We are a diverse health services company made up of a nursing home, retirement community, and a professional office. We are actively seeking an entry-level IT support tech to assist with installing/upgrading components, provisioning software, assisting with systems administration duties, end user education, and resolving all IT support issues. Our ideal candidate is personable, has tier 1 experience, and is willing to learn Tier 2 responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Professional IT certifications are preferred
- Must have advanced knowledge about hardware and software configuration
- Must be able to effectively prioritize time and job responsibilities
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS OF POSITION:
- 3 years in IT Support position or related role
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication ability, both written and verbal
- Personable, professional demeanor
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen, a TB, and an employment physical.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while working on a computer.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to walk/commute between all buildings located on the Holiday Health Care campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all computer hardware and software work consistently and correctly.
- Will install programs, new software, and hardware.
- Ensure data repositories are safe and secure.
- Educate all end users about network security and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to end users.
- Escalate issues, as needed, in a timely manor.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by supervisor.
