Dates: June 23rd through August 15th
Days: Monday - Friday
Times: 8:45am-4:00pm

Duties:
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Camp Nurse is responsible for basic health care services for campers, staff, and facilities at Holiday Hill.
Pre-Camp:
Participate in all pre-camp staff training (dates and times to be announced)
Inventory all medical supplies
Order all necessary forms and supplies
Organize camper and staff medicals before the first day of camp
Set up first aid stations
In-Camp:
Treat all injuries and illnesses, and administer medications, etc. (as directed by standing orders and Camp Physician)
Record all treatments and medications administered and maintain health records
Obtain the signature of Camp Physician in health log each week
Lock up all medications when not in use
Maintain an adequate amount of medical supplies
Prepare medical forms for outgoing trips (allergies, medications, etc.)
Be on call during family nights and overnights for emergencies
Assist in on-going staff training throughout the summer
Assist in answering camp phone during camp hours
Assist Camp Director in other administrative jobs (forms, filing, etc.)
Remain at camp until all first aid situations have been handled
Post-camp:
Prepare an inventory of all medical supplies
Pack up and secure medical supplies for off-season
Call parents about left over medications
Requirements
Registered Nurse, CNA or EMT
Has an understanding of the developmental characteristics of children and teens
Has experience working with children and/or teens
Has the ability to communicate effectively with campers, staff members and parents
Flexible, with the ability to adjust to varying
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
