What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Holiday Inn and Suites Liverpool?
We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender and food server to provide an excellent guest drinking and dining experience. Good candidates will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes salary and tips.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Begins and ends shift as scheduled and arrives in full uniform, adheres to dress code
- Stays updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knows if the kitchen staff is running out of any items or have made changes to available items.
- May handle table bookings, directs customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated in assigned section.
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
- Accurately complete payment transactions and maintains money in accordance with sales.
- Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
- Clear and reset tables.
- Completes all running, opening and closing side work. Get checked out by management before leaving the building.
- Rolls silverware
- Restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
- All other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Skills
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender/server
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.35 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
