The Holiday Inn Baltimore BWI Airport is looking for a Full-Time Breakfast Attendant. The ideal candidate is a "morning person", energetic, loves to smile and deliver a memorable dining experience. As a Breakfast Attendant you will maintain and promote excellence in hospitality and service at all times; welcoming and serving guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner.
JOB SUMMARY: Breakfast Attendant responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the breakfast and dining area while servicing guests at their tables, taking to-go and a la carte orders, arranging the furniture, emptying the trash receptacles, making fresh coffee, and stocking food items & other supplies according to operating standards. The ideal candidate must be available at Monday-Friday 5am-12noon. This is a tipped position that currently pays 15.00 per hour tips.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guests as soon as you see them, speak politely, offering assistance
- Check for satisfaction with all guest dining in the restaurant
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests resolving issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.
- Ensure all buffet food stays fresh and stocked appropriately based on occupancy levels.
- Ensure all a la carte meals are delivered to guests tables hot and fresh..
- Follow safety procedures while handling food and preparing hot beverages.
- Remove and re-line trash cans, clean and wipe chairs, tables, beverage area, and the breakfast and coffee station.
- Clear tables and clean dishes using a commercial dishwasher.
- Sweep and mop floors in the dining area and behind the bar.
- Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior customer service and cash handling preferred.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to learn and operate a cash register
- Good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.
- Must be attentive
- Regularly required to talk, hear and listen for requests.
- Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping and may require crouching and crawling.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
