The Holiday Inn Baltimore BWI Airport is looking for a Front Office Supervisor to join our Leadership Team. Candidates who wish to grow in their role are encouraged to apply.
This key position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Front Office, Night Audit and Shuttle Operations. This position is involved in all aspects of the front of the house operations and accountable for ensuring the highest quality guest experience through leading our associates and developing an empowered team to respond to guests needs effectively resolving any issues. You will work closely with the Front Office Manager to ensure all standards are met.
We will look to our Front Office Supervisor to:
- Maintain a positive up-beat attitude at all times
- Welcome guests, team members and visitors with a smile
- Exude a high level of professionalism in person, verbally and written
- Ability to follow and enforce all policies without prejudice
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with all departments
- Monitor selling procedures to maximize hotel revenue
- Manage responsibilities in alignment with company and brand policies and procedures
- Assist the Front Office Manager with training, empowering and motivating the team to perform at a high level.
- Cover shifts as needed
- The ideal Front Office Supervisor will possess strong communication skills, a clear understanding of guest service in a high performing hotel environment and demonstrate strong leadership abilities
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- High school education
- Hospitality Management, Business or related major a plus.
- Minimum 2 years Front Office experience with OPERA or an IHG Brand preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Possess knowledge of Front Office operations, hospitality, business and basic accounting procedures.
- Must be highly organized and results oriented
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Able to work with little to no supervision
- Able to receive constructive feedback
- Remain positive and improvise while working in a fast-paced changing environment, sometimes under pressure
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful and patient
- Handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment
- Must have excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, overnights and weekends. Please do not apply if you have schedule restrictions.
- Proven ability to see the “big picture”, demonstrate initiative and make sound business decisions.
- OPERA systems knowledge is preferred
