ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
To provide our guests with the highest standard of cleanliness while maintaining operating expenses within budget guidelines. Provide leadership within the Housekeeping Department by reinforcing standards.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rotate duties for opening manager:
- Assign housekeepers to designated sections at maximum quotas
- Assign Floor Managers to designated sections
- Inform Floor Managers of rooms that are not assigned and reasons
- Inform Floor Managers of off line check ins
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest arrivals
- Train new Floor Managers
- Help to manage and train Housekeepers
- Able to inspect guest rooms and guest floor corridors upholding the highest of standards
- Reinforcement for holding staff responsible for policies and procedures:
- Hotel Policies and Procedures in hand book
- Compliance with fire safety standards
- Compliance with O.S.H.A. standards
- Follow through with holding staff accountable for their actions and/or recognizing them for meeting and going beyond their regular job duties
- Conduct monthly meetings regarding training, standards, policies etc. with housekeepers
- Maintain communication with Front Desk to assure rapid turnover of check out rooms
- Communicate with Front Desk to accommodate all mobile check-ins**
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE – Prior Housekeeping and Supervisory experience preferred.
SKILLS –Exceptional eye for detail, must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks able to work in a high-pressure environment, excellent customer service and people skills are a must.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – Ability to bend, squat, lift, lower, push, pull, carry 40 lbs., twist, walk up and down stairs.
ANALYTICAL DEMANDS – Must be able to prioritize demands from the day to day operation.
