The Banquet Server is responsible to serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first-class customer service. The Banquet Server processes food and beverages based upon contracted events such as Weddings, Seminars, Misc. Parties, Conferences.
The ideal candidate has a warm and friendly personality that puts our customers at ease and sets expectations of a memorable event. A minimum of 6 months experience as a server is preferred but will train right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transporting the dining supplies to and from the function site
- Properly setting the dining/buffet/hors d'oeuvre tables
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
- Any other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by a supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Must be capable of lifting 30 lbs.
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
