Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers effectively to launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specific garments or fabrics.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Provide exceptional service by ensuring timely delivery of clean items to designated areas within the hotel.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, particularly within a hotel environment, is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
