Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and common areas while ensuring that laundry services meet high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel housekeeping and laundry operations, including dry cleaning processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens, towels, and other items according to established procedures.
- Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper use of detergents and cleaning agents.
- Sort, fold, and store clean laundry items in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in laundry facilities and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist in the organization of housekeeping supplies and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests by addressing their needs related to cleanliness and laundry services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry services is preferred.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting or moving heavy items.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members professionally.
While we have Housekeepers full-time, we do ask all Laundry attendants to learn Housekeeping as a back-up. More knowledge is always better.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 36 per week
