What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent FT Overnight position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Walker Grand Rapids?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognizing IHG Rewards One members and also returning guests
- Checks in and out guests, provides guests with hotel information
- Required to learn about hotel brand, hotel computer systems and hotelsales techniques
- Ensure required identification is taken from guests at check-in in line with local legislative requirements
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions usingestablished procedures
- Answers external and internal telephone calls taking and delivering messages as needed
- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
- Reports any health and safety incidents to the supervisor on duty
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors on duty
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
- Previous customer related experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic computer skills to operate various property management and Reservations systems, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work well with other team members
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Must wear required uniforms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
