What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites?
Housekeeping duties for the hotel are making certain rooms are clean, orderly and attractive while maintaining a customer service emphasis and looking for opportunities to serve our guests.
General Summary:
Must be a flexible, responsible person capable of accepting responsibility and following through on assignments. Must be service oriented and use good judgement and common sense.
Help support and fulfill the mission, vision, core values and goals of the hotel. Position provides the
hotel with the proper cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public spaces and assigned work areas.
Will include the attending to assigned areas that need attention.
Critical Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning rooms and public spaces as instructed to include, but not limited to
(vacuuming; mopping floors; cleaning toilets sinks and showers; making beds;
dusting; stocking rooms with fresh linens).
2. Spot cleaning of carpets as needed.
3. Washing windows and window tracks as needed.
4. Refer any need for repairs or replacement of furniture and make
recommendations to Supervisor.
5. Flipping and turning mattresses as instructed.
6. Deep cleaning of rooms as instructed.
7. Cleaning public areas as assigned.
8. Stocking housekeeping closets and carts at the end of the day or as needed.
