Holiday Inn Express and Suites is a hotel in Millington, TN. We are a locally owned business that has been in business for over 10 years. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary:
Prepare and serve food to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
- Prepare cooking ingredients
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned or assigned by the restaurant manager
- Assist in other departments as needed
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is imperative
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
