Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of laundry services within our establishment, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed to maintain the quality of garments.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Ensure that all laundry is laundered in a timely manner to meet operational needs.
- Follow proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning agents used in the laundry process.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
