Laundry Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and garments in a hotel setting. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service will contribute to the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder linens, towels, and garments.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store items according to established procedures.
• Ensure that all items are cleaned to the highest standards, including dry cleaning when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
• Handle guest requests for laundry services promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling chemicals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel environment, is a plus.
• Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods during shifts.
