The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elizabethtown is looking for a Janitorial Lead. The candidate must have open availability.
Job Purpose
The Lead Janitorial will work closely with the Head of Maintenance to ensure the janitorial team are performing efficiently. He/She will help assist with training, scheduling and ensuring the hotel is in great condition for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day staffing schedules, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance with the direction of Head of Maintenance.
- Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations.
- Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Understand and respond to guest’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Carry out IHG Way of Clean Standards to ensure facility is clean for our guests (example: Proper cleaning products and standards) including Deep Clean of Public areas.
- Communicate to Head of Maintenance inventories and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty.
Qualifications and Requirements
This job requires ability to perform the following
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical requirements necessary include walking, standing, bending, lifting, sitting and reaching
- Ability to work in moderately noisy work environment for long periods of time and
communicate effectively in this environment
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion
- Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
