What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician Assistant position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites?
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on rooms. This includes performing minor repairs, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and identifying when specialists need to be called in thereby not wasting time with ineffectual repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance field, a strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have respect for the property, employers, and fellow employees. They must be guest-facing and presentable. No drinking and no drugs. Must be hard-working, honest, and professional.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards.
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies, facilities, and grounds.
- Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests.
- Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, roofing, and HVAC systems. Any additional experience in carpeting, painting, furniture restoration, and pool maintenance or previous hotel experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
- Organization is key. Must be able to maintain records of maintenance activities.
- Must be hard working and dependable.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
